Terms of access

The terms that apply when you open our library, use Rulio, or create a Context Visualised account.

1. Who these terms are with #

These terms are an agreement between you and Context Visualised Limited ("CoVi", "we", "us"), company number 09907206, 3 Lloyd's Avenue, London EC3N 3DS.

They apply when you:

  • Open an item in our library, or register for the full library
  • Use Rulio, our free regulation search at rulio.covianalytics.com
  • Create or use a Context Visualised account

Our Terms of use also apply to your use of our website. If the two conflict, these terms apply to your account, Rulio and the library.

You agree to these terms when you confirm a library request, create an account, or ask Rulio a question.

2. Work email only #

Our accounts and the library are for people at firms. You must use your own work email address.

We do not accept personal or disposable addresses, such as Gmail or Outlook. We may refuse or close an account that uses one.

You must be 18 or over.

3. Feedback contact is a condition of access #

To open the library, you agree that we may contact you for feedback on what you use. We contact you about the library items you use, at your work email address.

You can stop this at any time, with the link in any feedback email or by emailing privacy@covianalytics.com. Your library access then ends. You can ask for access again later, and agree to feedback contact again.

Library updates are separate. We send them only if you tick the box, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Rulio #

Search is free. You can search Rulio and open any rule without an account.

Ask Rulio questions are limited. Ask Rulio includes a limited number of free questions each day. The app shows how many you have left. We may change this limit, or pause Ask Rulio, at any time.

Rulio does not give advice. Rulio points you to provisions. Its replies are not legal, regulatory or compliance advice, and they do not tell you whether your firm complies. Always check the provision itself before you act on it.

Your questions. OpenAI writes Rulio's replies. OpenAI OpCo, LLC, a US company, receives what we send it. Do not put personal data about other people, or confidential information, into a question. Our privacy policy explains what we send and how long we keep it.

5. Fair use #

You may use Rulio and the library for your own work, and share what you learn with colleagues at your firm. You may adapt library items for use inside your firm.

You must not:

  • Scrape, crawl or copy Rulio or the library in bulk, by script or by hand
  • Get around the daily question limit, the library's one-item rule or any other limit
  • Share your account, your password, your sign-in codes or a library link meant for you
  • Resell, republish or repackage library items or Rulio's replies
  • Use Rulio or the library to build a competing product
  • Interfere with, overload or test the security of our services

The rules and provisions in Rulio belong to their publishers, and their terms apply to them. The library items are ours.

6. We can suspend or change things #

We may change, suspend or stop Rulio, the library or any account feature at any time.

We may suspend or close your access if you break these terms, or to protect our services or other people. Where we can, we will tell you why.

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top. Where the change matters, we will tell you by email or ask you to agree again.

7. Ending your access #

You can delete your account at any time, with "Delete account" in the Rulio account menu. This also ends your full library access. Our privacy policy explains what we delete and when.

8. Our liability #

Rulio and the library are free. We provide them as they are, and we do not promise they are complete, current or free from errors.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from your use of Rulio's replies or the library items, or from any decision you make based on them.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Governing law #

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute about them is for the courts of England and Wales only.
