Preamble #
These terms of use ("Terms") apply to your use of the websites of Context Visualised Limited ("CoVi", "we", "us"), and to the content and materials on them (together, the "Site"). Context Visualised Limited also trades as CoVi Analytics [CONFIRM].
The CoVi product is separate. If your firm uses the CoVi product, a separate agreement covers that use. These Terms do not apply to it.
We may change these Terms at any time. If we do, we will post the new Terms on the Site and update the "Last updated" date. If you keep using the Site after that, you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree to them, please stop using the Site.

1. Using the Site #
Privacy and cookies. Our privacy policy explains how we collect, use and share information about visitors to the Site. Our cookie policy explains the cookies and tags we use.
Age. You confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
2. Intellectual property #
Our content. Unless we say otherwise, the Site and everything on it belong to CoVi and our licensors. That includes text, graphics, logos, images, code, the Halden reports and dashboards, and other materials. They are protected by UK and international copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.
Limited licence. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to view and use the Site for your personal or internal business purposes, in line with these Terms.
Restrictions. You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of our content
- Reverse engineer the Site, or try to extract its source code
- Remove or change any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notice
3. Acceptable use #
You must not use the Site in breach of any law, contract, or intellectual property or other third-party right. You also agree not to:
Technical misuse
- Use the Site in any way that could damage, disable, overburden or impair it
- Use any robot, spider, crawler, scraper, AI data harvesting tool or other automated means we have not provided to access the Site or extract data
- Introduce any virus, trojan, worm, logic bomb or other harmful material
- Get around security measures, or try to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site
Commercial misuse
- Send unsolicited advertising, promotional material, spam or chain letters
- Harvest or collect email addresses or other contact details for commercial purposes
- Frame the Site, or suggest you have a relationship with us, without our written permission
Prohibited conduct
- Harass, threaten or stalk anyone
- Post or send anything unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory or otherwise objectionable
- Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your connection with any person or organisation
4. Links to other sites #
The Site may include content from third parties and links to other websites ("Third-Party Content").
No endorsement. We do not control, endorse or adopt Third-Party Content. We make no promises about its accuracy, completeness or suitability.
Your risk. We are not responsible for Third-Party Content. Any dealings you have with third parties found through the Site are between you and them.
Other sites. When you leave the Site, our terms and policies no longer apply. Please read the terms and privacy policies of any site you visit.
5. Disclaimers and limitation of liability #
Information only. Content on the Site is for general information only. It is not legal, financial, actuarial, regulatory or other professional advice, unless we expressly say so.
No warranties. To the fullest extent the law allows, the Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. This includes, without limitation, warranties:
- Of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement
- That the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components
- About the accuracy, reliability or completeness of any content
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any of the following losses arising from your use of the Site:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
6. Halden and other illustrative content #
Halden is fictitious. Halden is a fictitious Lloyd's managing agent that we built and run in CoVi Analytics to show how the product works. Its syndicates, Dubai service company, fronting partners, coverholders, reinsurers, people, events and figures are all invented. Any resemblance to a real firm or person is unintended. The same applies to every other fictitious firm on the Site, including Ridgeway Underwriting.
Not real market data. Halden figures are illustrative. They are not real market data, and they are not taken from any real firm's returns or filings. They must not be relied on as benchmarks, market statistics or evidence of how any real firm performs.
Not advice. Halden reports, findings and actions show how CoVi presents information. They are not advice on how to run, govern, reserve or capitalise any business. You should not act on them without your own professional advice.

7. Indemnity #
You agree to indemnify Context Visualised Limited and its officers, directors, employees, agents and licensors against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your access to or use of the Site
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your breach of any third-party right, including any intellectual property, publicity, confidentiality, property or privacy right
- Any claim that your use of the Site caused damage to a third party
We may, at our own expense, take sole control of the defence of any matter you must indemnify us for. If we do, you will cooperate with us.
8. Changes to the Site #
Changes. We may change, suspend or stop the Site, or any part of it, at any time without notice.
Access. We may suspend or end your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice. Any terms that by their nature should survive will survive.
9. Governing law and disputes #
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Jurisdiction. Any legal action about these Terms or your use of the Site must be brought only in the courts of England and Wales.
Severability. If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in full force.
10. Events outside our control #
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These include natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of government, fires, floods, accidents, pandemics, strikes, and shortages of transport, facilities, fuel, energy, labour or materials.
11. Entire agreement #
These Terms, together with our privacy policy and cookie policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about your use of the Site. They do not affect any separate agreement for the CoVi product.
